JLPT Level 1 Grammar Workbook

The JLPT level 1 test is challenging in many ways, and grammar is certainly one of the biggest challenges. Test-takers are expected to know innumerable seemingly obscure grammatical expressions, and learning them can often seem a bit frustrating. However, this textbook appears to understand how difficult grammar can be to make sense of and memorize, and it is organized accordingly. This book will help you master grammar in preparation for the level 1 exam.

The book is cleverly divided into logical and easy to understand sections. In every section there are enough example sentences to make the meanings of the expressions abundantly clear.

In section 1, you will learn various grammar patterns that share similar words. For example, there is a subsection dealing with grammar patterns featuring the word, "mono," and another section featuring grammatical patterns using the word "kurai." Section 2 focuses on shared meanings. Each section is a compilation of grammatical patterns that have similar meanings. For example, in a subsection dealing with patterns relating to time, there is an entire further subsection listing expressions that mean, "immediately after."
